Epyx presents Getaway Entertainment 6 Pack (Epyx)
1991 · MS-DOS · Epyx
From the NFO: Getaway is a pack of six different games. The main idea behind the thing is that it's made for laptops so you can take the games with you to play on your laptop while on vacation, business trips, and other such outings. The game also runs on a full IBM system as well as a laptop. The graphics are hi-res, but unfortunately they're monochrome. The games are somewhat enjoyable despite the lack of color. No need to wait for dox on this one, all documentation is built into the game. Enjoy. From the packaging: When entertainment is the decision, Getaway gives you six strategic options. Getaway is designed to run on a full IBM system as well as a laptop or notebook computer for great fun at home or away! The six games include: Word Salad - Find the words hidden in the grid of letters. 32 different levels up to 600 words per level. Stuffin The Briefcase - Pack your briefcase for business or pleasure. Why do you need all those guns? 63 different levels. Cascade - Place dice onto a 5X6 grid, earn points for contiguous, straights and four of a kind. A different game each time you play. Engrossing and harmfully addictive. Solitaire - Play either of two popular variants, Klondike or Las Vegas. Dominoes - It's not the kids game you may remember. Two traditional favorites, 7-1-Spin and 5-Up. Play against 1, 2 or 3 of the nine different computer opponents. Tutorial included. Totem - A logic puzzler set in the Pacific Northwest. Choose from more than twenty difficulty settings. Elsewhere: Eli's Software Encyclopedia and this YouTube video showing some gameplay
