Splitgate Linux

2023 · shooter · Linux · PlayStation · Xbox

Non-fucntional native Linux client of Splitgate This is non-fucntional native Linux client of Splitgate uploaded for the sake of game and software preservation. When 1047 Games announced closure of Splitgate servers to focus on poorly received Splitgate 2, players demanded keeping the original game playable in some shape or form. Thus, 1047 Games switched Splitgate into P2P model to let players keep playing the game. Although Windows, PlayStation and Xbox versions updated accordingly, native Linux version of the game left out and removed, Linux users are forced to use the Windows version via Proton/Wine. This is the last native Linux version of the game; due to the removal of Steamworks support, it will not work. It might work with extensive Steamworks emulation effort, but it is questionable whether it is worth it.
