Complete Commodore 64 BASIC V2 program listings from the English translation of "Artificial Intelligence for the Commodore 64" (Informatica Pratica / AI48K series), an original retrocomputing book teaching classic AI techniques — exhaustive search, minimax with alpha-beta pruning, cellular automata, reinforcement learning, the perceptron, expert systems, pattern-matching chatbots, and heuristic pattern recognition — through original 1982-style BASIC V2 programs written for a real 38,911-byte-free Commodore 64. Includes the fourteen listings from Chapters 3 through 12, culminating in SENTINEL, a program that combines knowledge representation, language tokenisation, reinforcement-style preference learning, and heuristic suggestion into a single conversational companion. All code is original, written to run within the actual memory and speed constraints of a 1982 Commodore 64.
