Gamestick 2.4G Wireless M18

Hello there! This is the data image for the gamestick M18, Version V6.1.6 2025-08-03 23:09, with the text M6X_20250714_V1.1 printed on a red motherboard. This device was not mine so I just ran some quick tests and a simple backup. As you can see in the image the processor is covered by something, maybe a heatsink? Idk. To use it you need to download the large RAR file, unpack it and burn the .img file to a NEW 64GB micro SD memory card in Win32DiskImager or other similar programs, d o NOT use the old Chinese SD card as it is prone to failures. You can add games to folders ' _data/download/platform ' and 'platform' is the name of the game system. Afterwards on the GameStick menu go to the "Customize" menu and Press the R2 trigger button on the gamepad controller to show the added games, I tried adding cover images but had no success. You can change the background by editing the file in '_ data/ui/background.png' by my testing the image needs to be 1280x720 in size, be saved in the .png format and can't have too many colours, if the image has too many colours it'll refuse to load. If you want to customize it, I'd save a copy of the original background somewhere safe and then keep thinkering with the image till you are satisfied, if the image is not compatible the gamestick background will default to a black screen. You can remove the laggy annoying background song by deleting the MP3 in '_ data/ui/background.mp3'.
