NORAD Strategic Radar 2 is a free homebrew strategy game written in Commodore 64 BASIC V2. Inspired by Cold War nuclear deterrence scenarios, the game features a two-superpower turn-based conflict (USA vs USSR), ICBM launches, ABM interception, DEFCON escalation system, random geopolitical events, SID chip sound effects, animated missile trajectories, and complete title screen, HUD, and end-game sequences. Supports 1-player mode (vs AI) and 2-player hotseat mode. Controls: numeric keys 1-6 for actions, any key to confirm. This program is provided for educational, historical, and preservation purposes. Distributed freely and without expiration. Tested on VICE emulator and real Commodore 64 compatible systems.
