Freeware Indie Horror Games Preservation [Updated 2025-01-19]

horror · Itch.io

A collection of free horror games that were available on itch.io. These are usually small projects by developers who are learning to make games. Sometimes, these developers delete their games, making them impossible to find elsewhere. So, this is mainly for video game preservation. I’m compressing each game individually using 7z to generate the smallest file size possible, so you’ll need software like 7-Zip or WinRAR to decompress them. For now, I’m only backing up games that I’ve played. You can find playthroughs of these games on my YouTube channel, "Scary Games at 3 AM."
