This is a patch to the long and challenging roguelike Angband (v. 4.1.0). It makes it so that when you kill monsters, particularly lower-level ones, you incur sorrow. If you don't manage your sorrow properly, you can burn out (the game ends). To compensate, the game allows you to deeply terrify monsters (making them too afraid to attack you) by hitting them without killing them, at some risk of killing them anyway. Angband is a turn-based RPG which can display ASCII characters, but it also has an option to use a graphical tileset. It runs on Mac, Windows, Linux, and other OSes.
