This is a standalone, portable installation of Populous: The Beginning and the Undiscovered Worlds official expansion. It also includes Populous: Enhanced Edition - a community project that updates, improves and greatly expands Populous: The Beginning. Pre-installed and ready to play! Simply extract the archive then use the 'Launch Game.bat' file and select the version you want to play from the menu. (You must right-click on 'Launch Game.bat' and select 'Run as administrator'). Populous: The Beginning and the Undiscovered Worlds expansion can both be run in either Direct3D mode or in software mode for maximum compatibility. Just choose the mode you prefer from the menu. This install should be compatible with all versions of Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11 available at the time of writing, however it has only been fully tested on Windows 10 so your mileage may vary. Make sure to read the README.txt file included in the archive! Enjoy!
