Cy-Clone (Rus. Боевой клон) is a 2008 arthouse horizontal shoot 'em up game developed by Thomas William Jenns and his friends of Oddity Games trading under Lo-Jen Ltd.. English version was distributed by Big Fish Games (August 13, 2008), Gamesare Studios (September 25, 2008) and PlayFirst (date unknown, likely 2009-2010). Russian version was distributed by Alawar Entertainment (May 31, 2009). The game uses the Multimedia Fusion 2 engine. There's also a Flash version of Cy-Clone made by the same person and published by Armor Games in April 27, 2010 , but it's pretty much a heavily different game where instead of 6 acts, you must survive 25 Challenge Ratings. The human race faces a threat beyond any they`ve ever known. One hope remains. You alone must clone their superior technology and use it against them. Can you navigate new biospheres in a morphing 3D universe? Avoid the glowing-eyed skull, and prevail in Cy-Clone, a thrilling sci-fi Shooter game. Space Shooter game Superior technology Save mankind from destruction Well, the game story about "saving mankind from destruction" doesn't make sense and can't be taken seriously, but I can say that I remember playing the Alawar version of this game way back in 2011, several months before starting the 1st grade at school. Also, it's astonishing for me that I still remember the name of this game for more than 13 years straight, unlike many of these people on Old-Games.ru Forums who also played this game but didn't remember its name . For myself, I even developed a syndrome of searching for deep meaning of Cy-Clone. I can say that Cy-Clone seems to be reminiscent to R-Type, Kirby franchise (ability to clone and expel enemies), Darius franchise, Aero Blasters (a.k.a. Air Buster), Platypus, Sinistar (alien skull heads with red glowing eyes). I've included these versions of this game: Working Big Fish Games release (English language) cracked by HERiTAGE wareZ group at the time when Cy-Clone just got released on Big Fish Games website in August 13, 2008 (I've got it by asking for it in Torrminatorr forums). Alawar release (Atarata install file from Ky-ky.net, Russian language). Gamesare Studios release (English language) that includes both the Demo and Full versions in one install file. Full version requires the correct Serial key to install, but unfortunately, the Serial key is lost and it can no longer be purchased due to Gamesare Studios website shut down. Cy-Clone is pretty much Big Fish Games and Alawar's own Kirby . So, it can be said that: Kirby and The Secret Prototype (you are playing as) are both the ultimate ball-shaped devastators that can copy and discard enemies and their abilities. Cy-Clone is an experimental shoot 'em up game heavily inspired by the 1980s-1990s era of shmup games for arcade machines and 16-bit consoles, but it's also one of the fewest spiritual successors to Kirby franchise by HAL Laboratory and Nintendo (plz don't sue Big Fish Games and Alawar Entertainment). Compatibility notes: Big Fish Games version cracked by HERiTAGE group works fully stable on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, 11, unlike the official Big Fish Games version that may not work on Windows 8, 8.1, 10, 11. Alawar version works fully stable on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, 11. Gamesare Studios version works fully stable on Windows 95 (Demo version only), 98, ME, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, 11.
