Metal Slug Attack and Metal Slug Defense Android APK Archive

Android · SNK Corporation · SNK Corporation

This archive preserves restored versions of Metal Slug Attack and Metal Slug Defense. This project began with restored versions designed to remain playable after the official online services for these games were discontinued. The initial goal was to preserve the games and keep their content accessible without depending on SNK's original server infrastructure. Over time, the restoration work has continued to evolve, recovering and correcting additional functionality. While Metal Slug Defense remains primarily focused on offline play, Metal Slug Attack has gradually recovered additional systems, including community online functionality through Photon Cloud. Metal Slug Attack v7 is an updated and improved revision of v6.5. The completion of v7 is primarily the result of the work of 雲魂, with additional fixes and optimizations to several parts of the game. Among the improvements in v7 are corrections and optimizations to several game systems. The equipment system has also been fixed, and equipment synthesis can now function correctly, allowing items to be combined as intended. The Photon Cloud online system introduced in previous restored versions is also preserved. The game can use a shared Photon AppID for its online lobby, while users may replace it with their own Photon Realtime AppID, allowing different communities or groups to operate separate and independent lobbies. The original guide, “Metal Slug Attack v6 - Private Server AppID Replacement Guide.txt” , has been preserved under the same filename for reference, as the same AppID replacement procedure remains applicable to the current version. This archive now focuses on the current and recommended restored versions. Previous builds have been removed after being superseded by newer, more complete, corrected, or stable releases. Future revisions may still be released if additional bugs, compatibility problems, missing functionality, or other restoration issues are discovered. The archive may therefore continue to be updated as preservation and restoration work progresses. The original games were developed and published by SNK Corporation. Restoration project by 挚爱爱丽丝. Metal Slug Attack v7 completion and major improvements by 雲魂. Archived and preserved on Internet Archive by Alice愛麗絲. This archive may continue to receive new revisions, bug fixes, compatibility improvements, documentation related to the restored online system, and other material relevant to the preservation of Metal Slug Attack and Metal Slug Defense. Metal Slug Attack, Metal Slug Defense, and all related trademarks, characters, assets, and other intellectual property belong to SNK Corporation. This archive is intended for preservation, documentation, research, and community access to discontinued versions of these games.
