Super Mario World: The Halloween Quest 25' Edition

Hawkathone

WARNING! THIS ROM HACK CONTAINS GORE, CURSING, AND SINISTER SETTINGS! PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK... IF YOU DARE!! Story: Zackski (Badass Monster Hunter) was going trick or treating (despite being 36 years old) and he got jumped and had his candy stolen by an alternate universe Gruntilda The Witch and her goons. Now Zackski sets on a journey to retrieve his Halloween candy; going through different areas, killing evil trick-or-treaters, monsters, and making haste in a difficult, bizarre, and horrifying adventure. Will Zackski make it through the horrifying lands and endure even the narrator, against him? Or shall he perish on the trek to obtain his precious Halloween candy? Find out, in Super Mario World: The Halloween Quest by Hawkathone! I had originally made this rom hack back in 2024, but the music was wrong, the file was in the wrong format, and I was very unprepared. So I ended up posting it to Twitter, and calling it a day. But now I came back and fixed the issues, and now the 25' Edition offers the og mechanics, but fixing the problems, and adding original music from my Autumn and upcoming Horror Album! I hope you all enjoy this hack, as I spent a lot of time, attention to detail, and playtesting the hell out of it all. This hack is way harder than the original Mario World, but way shorter too. Thanks, and have a Happy Halloween!
