Ascband - an ASCII/VGA DOS-style customized version of the Angband roguelike game, for Windows

This is the roguelike dungeon exploration game Angband (rephial.org), compiled and customized for Windows: - Based on Angband version 4.2.5 - SDL2 front end - DOS-style font and ASCII dungeon graphics - Uses Angband's "Original" low-res tiles for most characters and items Last updated 9/29/2024: Replaced some accented letters in two gamedata .txt files that were causing a few vowels in a few text descriptions in-game to look odd, as the DOS-style font doesn't support accented letters. This minor aesthetic change renders previous save files unusable, so finish your playthrough with any save you care about before updating. ~~~ Perfect DOS VGA 437 font by Zeh Fernando: https://zehfernando.com/2015/revisiting-vga-fonts/ Downloaded from https://www.dafont.com/perfect-dos-vga-437.font Rasterized with https://www.vertopal.com/en/convert/font ~~~ Thanks to the Angband devs, and particularly to backwardsEric for his patience and help over the years. ~~~ From https://angband.readthedocs.io/en/latest/copying.html : 'Angband is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of either the GNU General Public License, version 2 as published by the Free Software Foundation, or the “Angband licence”: Copyright (c) 1997 Ben Harrison, James E.
