Under Starters Orders (RACE.COM)

1988 · racing · MS-DOS · Tom Wharton

A simple horse race betting game for MS-DOS with CGA graphics. This copy was taken from a games compilation disk of unknown origin, although the program title screen credits Tom Wharton and the sole file (R. ACE.COM) is dated 1988. The game may run too fast or skip prompts under DOSbox - setting a cycles count of around 300 seems to work well for DOSbox running natively, so try pressing Ctrl-F11 a few times if it runs too fast in the Internet Archive emulation.
