Apple Arcade macOS Archive

2024 · macOS · iOS · Arcade

Some files for Apple Arcade macOS apps downloaded between February-March 2024 from the Mac App Store. These files are intended ONLY for archival purposes. Most/all of the games will not be playable out of the box. The files have not been modified after being downloaded from the App Store, other than the removal of Contents/_MASReceipt folder. Some Apple Arcade apps are not available for macOS but may be available for iOS, iPadOS or tvOS. The following script was used to archive these apps: for i in /Applications/APP_NAME.app ; do value=`plutil -p "$i/Contents/Info.plist" | grep CFBundleShortVersionString` ; version=$(echo "${value##*>}" | tr -d '"' | xargs) ; 7z a -ms=off -x\!\*/Contents/_MASReceipt "${i:14} (${version})".7z "$i" ; done
