About Granny : Granny is a first-person survival horror game created by DVloper (a Swedish independent developer) and first released in 2017. The game quickly became popular thanks to its tense gameplay, creepy atmosphere and smart AI of the main character – “Granny”. In the game, the player wakes up in an old house and is locked inside by a scary old woman. Your only task is to find a way to escape the house within five days. To do that, the player must hide, solve puzzles, collect keys, pieces and necessary items, and avoid making noise – because even the slightest noise, Granny will hear and immediately chase. What makes Granny special is that Granny’s AI is programmed to react to the player’s actions: if you drop an item, open a door or knock over an object, she will follow the sound to find that location. Each time the player is caught, they will “faint” and wake up the next day, with a total of five chances to escape before being finished off. Not only does Granny stand out for its psychological horror elements, it also attracts with its minimalist but effective graphics and sound. Footsteps, slow background music and dark space create a sense of tension throughout. The success of Granny has helped DVloper develop many sequels such as Granny: Chapter Two and Granny 3, along with related titles in the “Slendrina universe”.
