Fadal Emulator This DOS program emulates the interface of a Fadal Vertical Machining Center. These classic CNC machines played a critical role in the world of manufacturing, and were based on several embedded x86 processors working in concert to control these massive machines. Fadal continues manufacture CNC machines to this day, but new Fadal machines are based on a rather different architecture. This emulator has value as a teaching tool in understanding the interface to these machines, and can help those curious about the machines as well as those who would like to walk someone through how to execute a given function on one of these machines whilst not directly in front of the machine itself. Finally, the emulator can be used to 'back plot" an NC program, allowing the machine tool path to be graphically displayed.
