Original Adventure

1991 · adventure · MS-DOS · Don Ekman

From the read.me file: This is a resurrection of the old Adventure, written for the DEC-10 and ported to the PDP-11/70, ported this time to the MS-DOS environment. No new features have been added. According to “Fatal Distractions”: “This is the late Don Ekman’s famous port to DOS of the original FORTRAN source code for Adventure. (This is the game that David M. Bagget used as the source for CCR.EXE.)” Other items of note for this version: text is displayed in ALL CAPS, and contains “wizard mode”, that allowed the hours the cave was open to be set, allowing non-wizards to be restricted from play outside of those hours. This is from Chapter 1 of the Fatal Distractions CD .
