Debian Game Data Packager (Part 4)

Linux

In continuation of: https://archive.org/details/game-data-debian-packages https://archive.org/details/game-data-debian-packages-2 - and - https://archive.org/details/game-data-debian-packages-3 <More packages to be added. Please be patient> Some of these packages can be tricky to build as GDP requires very exacting versions of game asset files to build the Debian package targets. I wanted to build more ready-to-go packages, saving you the hassle. All of these games are English versions only . "Mortville Manor" and "Bud Tucker In Double Trouble" only compile for French and German versions (so far) and have thus been omitted. These two games can still work fine on ScummVM when using original game assets without a GDP generated package. All Debian packages were made using game-data-packager (v87-v) on Debian 13. Most of these were created directly from GOG installers and original software disks. The following command was use to generate individual packages: $ game-data-packager [game] --download --everything --binary-executables --destination [output package path] [game data path] (where [game] is the assigned GDP name of the game, [output package path] is the path to the game data asset dump and [game data path] is where the game data is to collect) These Debian packages will only install game assets. These can be installed using the following command: $ sudo dkpg -i [file].deb (where [file] is the filename of the Debian game asset package). If you prefer using a GUI, use "GDebi". This collection includes the following titles: * Chex Quest 2 * Cutthroats * Diablo + Hellfire * Golden Wake * Journeyman Project 1 & 2 * Quake: Abyss of Pandemonium * Quake: Dimensions of the Past * * * * * * * * * * * * Click [ SHOW ALL ] over on the right side of the page to see the packages and download them. Use these package installers only if you own the software titles. These Debian packages will only install game assets. The games still require a game engine to run. The game assets are architecture agnostic. The game engines are not.
