On the vast Mexican plains, two 'lucky soldiers' meet — the cheerful bandit Juan Miranda, who robs postal coaches with his gang, and the Irish terrorist and bomb-thrower Mellar, racing towards danger on his motorcycle and leaving behind craters from dynamite shells. Miranda dreams of using Mellar's 'explosive' talent to rob a bank. But instead of bank safes, he frees political hostages and becomes a revolutionary hero. Soon, his friends will have to forget the joys of free life on the battlefields for the freedom of the Mexican people...
