The Nose or the Conspiracy of Mavericks (original Russian title Нос, или Заговор «нетаких», which transliterates to Nos, ili Zagovor "Netakih" ) is a 2020 Russian animated avant-garde film directed by Andrei Khrzhanovsky. Loosely based on Nikolai Gogol's 1836 novella The Nose and Dmitri Shostakovich's 1928 opera based on Gogol's novella, the film revolves around the absurdities of the twentieth century and the role of the artist during the Stalinist era. It is presented here in its original Russian with English subtitles.
