Отец солдата

1964 · drama · war · Резо Чхеидзе

The unnaturalness of war for a man — a worker, a creator — is shown through the fate of an old Georgian vineyard owner. Georgiy Maharashvili goes to see his son, who is wounded and hospitalized. But while the father makes his way to the destination, the son is sent back to the front. However, Georgiy can no longer return to his village. He travels the entire path with the Soviet army — the path to Berlin, to victory over fascism.
