The relationships between the strict but fair math teacher Maria Pavlovna and her granddaughter Nastya gradually become established. However, the situation among the three generations of the Trifonov family is far from ideal. Nastya has decided to start life from scratch, and she needs support from her extremely critical mother more than ever. The teacher will have to gently guide not only the students of the elite school "Favorit" but also her own daughter. Within the school itself, there are also changes: the staff is being supplemented by the enigmatic Yulia, and Leonid becomes the head of the cafeteria.
