Brian Henderson's Bandstand - Unknown airdate No 3

1962 · music

An (incomplete?) 1962 episode of an Australian television pop music series. Performers include Geraldine Fitzgerald, The Allen Brothers, Lucky Starr, Wayne Cornell, Col Joye, Robyn Alvarez, and The Delltones. Very much of the pre-Beatles, non-swinging-early-1960s era. At 21:46 the off-screen announcer provides a list of call signs of stations showing the series, which is cool. A kinescope recording which I ripped from a DVD. I don't know if this episode is slightly incomplete, or is simply a shorter than usual episode (I'm under the impression that 1960s Australian TV episodes sometimes ran short, with interstitial material or continuity sometimes shown between programs on the schedule, though anyone can correct me if I'm mistaken on that). ...and yes, Australia used to use pounds (prior to 1966). I am worried this will result in a copyright strike. Nine Network, if you want this removed, please let me know and I'll remove it.
