Tomorrow with Tom Snyder (NBC-TV. Aug 24, 1980)

Tomorrow with Tom Snyder (NBC-TV. Aug. 24, 1980) Guest: Roy Orbison Tom interviews the rock legend in this 1980 episode of Tomorrow , just as Roy was starting to make the early steps towards his 1980s revival. Popular covers of his songs Blue Bayou (Linda Ronstadt) and Crying (Don McLean) had sparked a renewal of interest in his work. Roy talks about not only his career but talks about his twin tragedies of losing his first wife in a motorcycle accident, followed by the deaths of two children in a house fire. Roy performs two songs during the interview, Only The Lonely and his Grammy-winning hit That Lovin' You Feeling Again (minus his duet partner on the song, Emmylou Harris.)
