Captain of the Internal Affairs Police Aglaya Mезенцевa and investigator Vsevolod Kosinsky, one of the best specialists in child search, unravel the case of the missing 5-year-old grandson of the world-famous conductor Mark Kretchetov. The child mysteriously disappeared during a walk with the nanny, and the woman suffered a head injury and lost her memory. All members of the Kretchetov family are under suspicion, and Kosinsky is not sparing anyone in pursuit of results. Aglaya does not accept Kosinsky's methods, but still becomes his best student. The more Aglaya unravels the complex web of family relationships and financial schemes within the Kretchetov family, the more she has to sacrifice — her peace of mind, career, lives, and others' feelings. Even her unborn child.
