Brian Henderson's Bandstand

1970 · music

An incomplete episode of an Australian television pop music series. Guests include The Young Americans, Rim D. Paul (nice moustache!), Colleen Hewett, The Flanagans, Jimmy Hannan, and Lou Rawls (it's a shame they don't have set designs like that anymore). A kinescope recording which I ripped from a DVD. Unfortunately, the copy on the disc is missing a filmed segment featuring Shirley Bassey (presumably sourced from an overseas program). Useless info: in Melbourne, which is where I live, this aired at 5:00PM Saturday on GTV-9 and aired against part of a film and Jeopardy on HSV-7, Sporting Round-Up , Kimba the White Lion and part of The Banana Splits on ABV-2, and Petticoat Junction and Hot Wheels on ATV-0. (source: 16 July 1970 edition of The Age, page six of TV-Radio Guide). I am worried this upload will result in a copyright strike. Nine Network, if you want this removed, please let me know and I'll remove it.
