The Champions : Pilot Episode : The Beginning Stuart Damon , William Gaunt and Alexandra Bastedo star in the ultimate fantasy espionage series. With Anthony Nichols as Tremayne. Guest star Felix Aylmer . Script editor Dennis Spooner . Pilot episode of the 1967 tv series. Three agents of an International Agency known as Nemesis are involved in a near fatal air crash in the Himalayas whilst on an espionage mission. In order to save their lives, the three are given paranormal powers by a lost civilisation they encounter, but decide to keep this a secret even from Nemesis . This video is the pilot recording, it is not the first episode of the televised series. In the 1960s, this video was the actual pilot recording. Much of it was used in the first transmitted episode (which is what is shown on television), but it has differences from the transmitted episode, including a different ending. So far as I know, this recording has never been shown on television.
