American Bandstand (June 5, 1982)

Here's another classic episode of American Bandstand with Dick Clark kicking off with a song very fitting to the long-running rock 'n roll dance show by Paul Davis, followed by an appearance by Motels, Rate-A-Record including a song that's turned out to be a new wave classic, the debut of the first dance contest where home viewers could vote by phone, and this week's top ten singles, including a number one song that didn't quite top the Billboard or Cashbox charts.
