Nintendo Baseball – CPU Watch Mode

1985 · history · NES · Historical Archive Partnership (HAP)

Nintendo Baseball (1985) – CPU Watch Mode v1.0 A preservation-oriented enhancement by the Historical Archive Partnership (HAP) that adds a dedicated CPU-vs-CPU Watch Mode to Nintendo Baseball. Watch Mode appears as a third option on the title screen alongside the original 1 Player Game and 2 Player Game modes. Controller 1 is used to select both teams: select and confirm the first team, then select and confirm the second team to begin the CPU-vs-CPU game. The CPU-vs-CPU gameplay was extensively tested and calibrated to retain the character and pacing of Nintendo's original Baseball while producing more balanced and varied games. The original player-controlled modes remain available. This release also incorporates HAP's Score Drift Fix, which corrects the original attract/demo score-total defect. The release includes the IPS patch, documentation, verification information, and screenshots. Copyrighted Nintendo ROM binaries are not included . Users must supply a compatible ROM from their own lawfully obtained source. Historical Archive Partnership (HAP) Preservation • Research • Engineering E.
