Ultrabyte V3.0 is a Commodore 64 disk copier and nibbler published by Ultrabyte Inc., P.O. Box 789, La Canada CA 91011, written by Jim Lagerkvist. Marketed as the New Sixth Generation UltraByte Copier for Commodore 64 and 128 (in 64 mode). V3.0 was a single unified program replacing the earlier two-disk UltraCopy II / Disk Nibbler bundle, copying in under 2 minutes on one or two 1541, 1571 or MSD dual drives and claiming 99%+ compatibility including titles that had defeated earlier tools. Includes a fast file copier as part of the package. Can copy itself — Ultrabyte printed a blunt disclaimer in advertising for this reason: no refunds given. Priced at $39.95 plus $4.00 shipping, with a $10.00 upgrade price for existing UltraCopy or Disk Nibbler owners. Advertising pointedly named its competition: KeyMaster, DiskBuster, Copy II, 21 Second Backup, Clone and Cracker. Later versions added a full parameter system — V4 added 105 parameters and a more powerful GCR nibbler, V5 added RapidLok support and 205 parameters, V6 reached 305 parameters.
