Author AT&T ZIP-Phone is an extremely handy telephone number-to-zip-code cross reference for the United States, which was taken from AT&T data. You can easily find most area codes (called NPAs) and the first three digits of most of the phone numbers in use (called NXXs) within most given zip-code using ZIP-Phone. What a fantastic time saver for businesses which get incomplete or illegible phone numbers and addresses! Search nine convenient ways, including zip-code to areacode, zip-code to areacode & prefix, state to zip-code, areacode & prefix to zip-code, and more! Even export data in standard ASCII format for use in other programs. NOTE: (1) When ZIP-Phone requests the NPA, it is asking for the areacode, and when it requests the NXX, wants the first three digits (prefix) of the seven digit telephone number. (2) The data files for ZIP-Phone have been split up and put on two diskettes because of the program's size. The first disk (Info2a) contains zip-code and area code data for the eastern and central states, and the second disk (Info2b) includes the data for western and some central states. For a list of which states specifically are included on each disk, please see the README. file. To help you use ZIP-Phone, a copy of the main program has been placed on each disk. If you have a hard disk, you can copy all of the files from both diskettes to a single directory on your hard disk and be able to access all of the data at once.
