Envy m:780 VDRS XP Home SP2 Recovery

2004 · operating-system · driver · recovery · Windows · Voodoo PC

Factory system image for a Voodoo PC Envy m780. Also suitable for a Clevo d870p and the plethora of other systems it was rebranded as. Extremely rare recovery dvd from a defunct boutique system integrator of mid 2000's gaming pcs. I also have an earlier Service Pack 1 build of this image that was originally provided on 3 cds. Reference pictures were provided by ADOR. Key for XP Home: BT6R2-JV9QY-2QWJ9-44VKX-YPDGY Key for Nero 6.6: 1A21-0009-3030-2336-7812-4610 I find it amusing that for as much as these machines originally cost and despite being built and marketed as the absolute best for gaming nobody thought to disable the sticky keys, filter keys etc keyboard shortcuts that always manages to tab you out of the game you are trying to play. I would have thought that little tweaks like that would have been a large part of paying a premium for a boutique pc experience. My only other gripe would be that Nero 6 is a trial version, but I can't really fault them for that. A full oem version with a product key that activated the trial version most likely accompanied the original system that didn't get passed along to me with the recovery disc, since most every cd-rw drive since the dawn of time has come with an oem version of nero or adaptec / roxio easy cd creator. My opinion is that they probably generalized the base image by only installing the trial and making the end user input the unique product key that was provided with the system on the back of the cd sleeve. The image is otherwise lacking all of the annoying bloatware you would typically find on a prebuilt pc of this era.
