Gateway Solo 2150 Clean Install Image

operating-system · driver · Windows

A VHD image from a Gateway Solo 2150 laptop with a clean installation of the following Windows 98 Second Edition (Portable Installation) ATI Rage Mobility video driver (The surprisingly difficult to install) Soundblaster AudioPCI 64V EV1398 sound driver Synaptics TouchPad driver Multi-function keyboard driver Actiontek 56k V.90 modem (this laptop didn't have the optional ethernet adapter installed) A USB mass storage driver for the single USB 1.1 port This was uploaded because there is currently no easy way to install the audio driver with the driver installers available on the internet. The way it was installed here involved 2 different driver installer packages having to borrow certain files from each other. Normally, attempting to install the audio driver results in absolutely nothing happening and there are several versions of "SB AudioPCI 64V" drivers on the web but there are multiple chipsets under that name. This is my first upload to IA and first time imaging a drive with WinImage, so feel free to improve and reupload since the 6GB image actually contains just ~230MB of files.
