HP Pavilion a730n recovery images (no bootcheck)

2004 · operating-system · driver · recovery · Windows · Hewlett-Packard

Recovery disc images for the HP Pavilion a730n that contain Windows XP Home Edition SP2. Do keep in mind the a730n does use native SATA by default, so this image may not boot on other computers. I have managed to bypass the preliminary boot check so this can restore to any machine. HOWEVER, after the restore you will need to boot back into the disc and then press Alt+D on the recovery options screen to open a command prompt. Type in the following command without quotes: "del c:\hp\bin\configcheck\cfgchk.bat" and then boot into the Windows XP install you have just restored.
