PC Driver Archive from ftp.dyu.edu.tw_pub

operating-system · driver

This is a large collection of drivers, software, BIOS files and other things relating to older computers, mainly IBM PC compatibles from the 1990s. In total there are nearly 11,000 files downloaded from ftp.dyu.edu.tw/pub some time in 2020. The FTP seems to be offline as of February 2023, so this is possibly the only surviving copy of this extensive file collection. Sadly, there were missing files and empty directories by the time this was all downloaded, so this archive will reflect that. Keep in mind, some products\brands may be found in folders that seem unrelated. For example, there are devices from many different brands listed under vendor\Diamond. Thankfully, the folders are generally labeled in a helpful way. Also, since this was a .tw FTP, many of the readme and other text files are not in English. If you can upload the text file to a document translator (copy and paste won't work), you should be able to translate them from Mandarin Chinese to other languages. If anything is located in this archive that is seen as important or useful and has not been found elsewhere online, please share your discovery on the VOGONS.org forums, and if possible, post it in a thread containing a past request for such files. Thank you! :)
