Windows 2.03 SUPERSLIM INSTALLATION AND OPERATION GUIDE -------------------------------- Windows 2.03 SUPERSLIM is a heavily reduced and modified Windows 2.03 version designed for minimal disk usage and fast startup operation. This release contains only the files required for basic Windows operation. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ------------------- - IBM PC/XT/AT (or 100% compatible computer) - Intel 8086/8088 or higher processor - 640 KB RAM (minimum required for stable operation) - MS-DOS 3.1 or later - 1 floppy disk drive (3.5" or 5.25") - CGA/EGA/VGA (or 100% compatible graphics adapter) - PS/2 or serial mouse - US English keyboard layout - At least 500 KB free disk space after installation INSTALLATION ------------ 1. Insert the WIN203SSFLOPPY disk into drive A: 2. Change to drive A: 3. Type SETUP and press ENTER 4. Follow on-screen instructions WARNING ------- Installing this software may overwrite an existing Windows installation located in C:\WINDOWS. It is recommended that important files be backed up before installation. STARTING WINDOWS ---------------- After installation is complete: 1. Change to the WINDOWS directory 2. Type WIN 3. Press ENTER FILES INCLUDED -------------- WIN.COM MSDOS.EXE WIN200.BIN WIN200.OVL CONTROL.EXE And other system files NOTES ----- This build has been modified for experimental and educational purposes.
