BAT2EXEC

1990 · utility · application · PC Magazine

Distributed on the PC MagNet BBS, and many other BBSes in the early 1990s. (Editorial note: it seemed more popular for hiding the source code of .bat files, than for any actual speed benefit.) Doug Boling - Volume 9, Issue 14 - August 1990 Purpose: Compile your batch files for added speed. Large batch files often run annoyingly slowly. Compiling them with BAT2EXEC will increase both your productivity and satisfaction.
