Maverick V4.0 is a Commodore 64 disk copy, nibbler and utility suite published by Kracker Jax Protection Busters (KJPB) / Software Support International, Vancouver WA. Created by Bob Mills and Mike Howard, with later development by David Black III, Daniel Hill and Lawrence Hiler. UI by Wayne Schmidt. Published by Les Lawrence. V4 was a significant update over V3, notably expanding GEOS support — adding a GEOS sector editor and the GEO-BOOT feature which made the entire GEOS application library file-copyable. Includes ten modules: fast data copiers, GCR nibbler, sector map editor, GCR format editor, GEOS toolkit, quick file copier, parameter menu, directory editor, 6502 machine language monitor, and upgrades. Supports 1541, 1541-II, 1571 and 1581 drives, REU, RAMBoard and speed control box. Runs on C64, SX-64 and C128 in 64 mode. Parameter module upgrades covering individual protected titles were available by subscription at $9.95 per disk to registered owners only. The final commercial release of Maverick was V5.04.
