PC-FASTYPE is an advanced touch typing tutor suitable for all levels of typists, from rank begginners to ninety plus word per minute professionals. PC-Fastype is easy to use, menu-driven, interactive and includes a help facility which can be accessed from every menu. PC-Fastype uses a wide range of feedback to guide the user including displaying the text to be typed directly over the area it should be typed, displaying a picture of the keyboard on the screen, prompting (after a set period) by highlighting the key which should be pressed, and beeping when an error is made. Some of PC-Fastype's many advantages include the ability to allow backspacing and correction of errors (as one can normally do when typing on a computer), display of your "raw" typing speed (based upon the total number of keystrokes) and your "computed" speed (taking into account backspaces and errors), blanking or displaying key symbols on the graphical keyboard representation, setting the prompting rate to correspond to your skill level.
