Pure OS GNOME Edition (Pre-Installed VM)

operating-system · recovery · Linux · Web · Android · James Alexander Wasil

This is the Quickbox / VirtualBox VM package of Pure OS GNOME Edition, built on Debian Linux x64. This pre-installed deployment bypasses the complex layout of the system installer and omits the Live CD environment to keep the package under 3.5GB (reflecting the contrast to Pure OS Plasma weighing 2.8GB) In contrast to the highly responsive and user-friendly Plasma edition, this GNOME variant features a heavily mobile-optimized layout with distinct background system services. The package requires an allocation of 4GB of RAM and utilizes an OVA 0.9 export with a dynamically allocated 40GB virtual drive. The environment is pre-configured for automatic desktop login. If a credential verification prompt appears for any system configuration task, the default settings are unified across the platform: Username: computer Password: computer Software utilities included are the native GNOME desktop application suite and the Firefox ESR web browser. (Verdict? Use Pure OS Gnome on Android devices to get the full effect, but use Pure OS Plasma / KDE to get the extra speed and versatility between the two) Brought to you by JamesWasil's Toolbox.
