PC MAGAZINE WINDOWS UTILITY DISK You may want to create a new Program Group for the utilities you choose to install, or you may want to put the utilities into an existing program group. To create a new group in Program Manager, select File then New from the menu. Click on the button next to "Program Group" and type "PC Mag Utilities" as the description. Type PCMAG.GRP as the Group File name. Click on OK, and you'll be returned to the Program Manager main screen, with an empty Group box on your desktop. This will be your current active group, which you can see from the blue bar at the top of the box. (Inactive groups have a white bar in Program Manager.) If you'd rather use an existing group for the PC Magazine Windows Utilities, click on that group box to make it the active group. The utilities on this disk are all in ZIP format, and need to decompressed before you can use them. We've supplied you with WIZUNZIP, which you can copy to your Windows directory, so that you can decompress the files from within Windows. From Program Manager, select File - Run and type WIZUNZIP.EXE at the prompt. For more information on the utilities and how to use them, use the WizUnzip "View" command to read the .TXT file within each .ZIP file. Unzip the files you want, and then add them to the program groups as desired. One of the utilities, INI.EXE is actually a DOS program that's useful in DOS batch (.BAT) files.
