SilverFast SE is designed to work with all major scanners while Silver: SilverFast DC-SE is designed to process data from all digital cameras. It provides auto-adjustment and LAB-based unsharp-masking, which does not sharpen the color noise of single channels, hence avoiding the extra noise.
