However, it is the only way to get clean sound on Windows 95. AudioPCI may work correctly, but sometimes it cuts off the ends of sounds. If you experience this issue, simply recreate the virtual machine or add [ sound.virtualdev = "sb16" ] to the VMX file and install Sound Blaster 16 drivers in the virtual machine. I don’t recommend this workaround, because the Sound Blaster may produce crackling audio and Winamp might not function properly — this can be explained by the age of the system and VMware’s flawed SB16 emulation.
