IMPORTANT NOTES VERY IMPORTANT: If you get stuck on the performance checking screen after the OOBE, you'll need to skip it by pressing Alt + F4 on it. I don't know what causes this, I just know that skipping it should fix it. Dreamscenes doesn't work for me and keeps on crashing everytime. Additionally, Windows Aero keeps crashing due to constant low memory messages, even when I assigned 8GB of RAM during the VM preparation process. After half a day of preparing, installing, updating, and testing, I present to you... Windows Vista Ultimate pre-installed VMDK & OVF with ALL UPDATES & ULTIMATE EXTRAS! (as you've read in the title) It is recommended to use the OVF instead of the VMDK as it comes with the entire VM itself setup with all the proper specs already configured, compared to the VMDK which just gives you the pre-installed disk drive. Both will be included to sastify personal preference though, and I will use the term "VMDK" throughout this description as it's the more popular term. This Windows Vista Ultimate VMDK is fully-updated , containing Service Pack 2, all updates up to Vista's EOL in April 2017, an additional update from March 2019 (KB4493471) which you can verify by looking at the build number (systems with this update display 6003, systems without it display 6002), Microsoft Security Essentials 2013 (you may need to update its definitions), VMware Tools, official Windows Vista Ultimate wallpapers, and best of all, ULTIMATE EXTRAS! All the preparation I've done was made in audit mode, a pre-setup finalization mode that allows OEMs to install drivers, software, and add wallpapers, branding, etc to the computer without skipping the OOBE for the user, meaning that YOU'LL BE ABLE TO PERSONALIZE YOUR USER ACCOUNT TO YOUR OWN LIKING! This pre-installed VMDK comes with no additional software other than the Ultimate Extras programs. You can install your own programs after if you like. Once it's on your computer, it's your VM, not mine :) Anyways, ENJOY THE VMDK! DO NOT CLICK ON ANY DOWNLOAD LINKS UNDER THE REVIEWS SECTION.
