ASUS EEEPC 701 - Hard Drive Image and Drivers - Windows XP Home - Norton Ghost

operating-system · driver · Windows

Received an ASUS EEEPC 701 (says EEE PC 4G on label). The install of XP was fairly clean. I captured the drivers off the system and they are provided here as "Drivers.ZIP". I also copied to OEM installs out of the Program Files location and are provided here as "ASUS.ZIP". The OEM Setup information was extracted out of the System32 folder and is here as "OEM_INFO.ZIP". Lastly, the full Norton Ghost image for the HDD is provided. It is not factory clean. A Norton Antivirus was installed on the system, but I found out later that it was an add on by the previous owner, so can be uninstalled. There is a factory restore disc uploaded onto Archive.org (below), but not everyone has a DVD Drive or can burn discs these days, so this should allow you to restore the system with minimal headaches.
