Sound Blaster Live! for Macintosh Patched Drivers

2014 · operating-system · driver · audio

This archive contains a number of modified device drivers for Creative's Sound Blaster Live! series of cards, based around the EMU10K DSP. While Creative did release Macintosh drivers for this card, the drivers were only compatible with the Sound Blaster Live! for Macintosh card, which used a unique identifier that was different from the PC versions of the card, despite them being otherwise identical. This archive contains a number of driver files that have had their model identifiers edited to work with standard PC versions of the Sound Blaster Live! card. As there were a number of revisions and different versions of the card, you will need to select the file that matches your card and install it manually (see the Installation Instructions included in the Read Me First file, included in the SIT archive). Hardware Table This table contains the complete list of driver fixes included in this archive. Please be aware that due to the large number of cards and variations in Creative's product line, some CTXXXX or SBXXXX model numbers may not be listed, or the numbers may be listed but may not match the pci1102,XXXX number of your card. For the sake of simplicity, when matching your card with the correct driver file in this archive, use the pci1102,XXXX numbers instead of the CT/SB model numbers. Tested Working SB Live!
