Movie Machine Pro Infos This document contains last minute information about Movie Machine products. Changes in Software version 1.5: - Win95 conform installation and uninstall. All installed files and changes to .INI files during installation are written to the file instal.log in the Movie Machine directory. - Channel 22 can now be scanned in the US - When encoding graphics in Adobe Premiere, the software cannot determine which TV system (i.e. PAL or NTSC) should be used. To address this problem, a new value called "System" in the moviecod.ini file was intoduced. If the system isn't known, this value is being used. 0 -> NTSC 1 -> PAL 2 -> force NTSC also on playback (not necessary if the file was encoded with new driver) 3 -> force PAL on playback (not necessary if the file was encoded with new driver) If the chosen installation language of the setup program was English, the default is set to 0. Additional Features in Software version 1.4: - enhanced capture application - the movie capture application runs in a resizable window thus preserving status informations. - the movie capture application allows a command line parameter to select different capture drivers if installed. The [drivers] section in the SYSTEM.INI file should look like msvideo=moviecap.drv msvideo1=moviecap.drv msvideo2=pvavi.drv The command line MMCAP.EXE -d2 now will use the driver pvavi.drv (the VfW driver which doesnt support MJPEG) and the command line MMCAP.EXE -d2 will start the driver moviecap.drv (the VfW driver which supports MJPEG). Without argument the default will be the entry of the msvideo= line. - MMTV supports individual TV frequency tables for more than 20 countries (see below) - supports 32 bit graphics adapters - doesn't switch from NTSC to PAL when playing MJPEG NTSC .avi files - enhanced Video Out control panel (small screen button) - Chroma (correction): allows to correct border artefacts when using transparent images for video effects. - CropLeft and Width : depending on your video source there might be black borders on the left and on the right hand side of your foreground video. First adjust the left border using the LEFT scroller, then adjust the right border using the WIDTH scroller. - supports help tool (like Word or Excel) this feature is being enabled by clicking the corresponding check box in the info panel. - conforms to Movie Machine API Additional Features in Software version 1.3a: Since completion of the manual, several short cuts and keyboard controls have been implemented in this version.
