High Safety Required Use ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This Product is designed, developed and manufactured as contemplated for general use, including without limitation, general office use, personal use, household use, and ordinary industrial use, but is not designed, developed and manufactured as contemplated for use accompanying fatal risks or dangers that, unless extremely high safety is secured, could lead directly to death, personal injury, severe physical damage or other loss (hereinafter "High Safety Required Use"), including without limitation, nuclear power reaction core control in nuclear atomic facility, airplane automatic aircraft flight control, air traffic control, operation control in mass transport control system, medical instrument for life support system, missile launching control in weapon system. Notes on Installation ------------------------------------------------------------------------ * Log on as a user with Administrator privileges and then install the program. * Before you install the PaperStream IP driver, exit the applications that use this driver. The PaperStream IP driver may not operate properly if it is installed while any one of the applications is running. * Do not run the Setup program from a network shared folder. This may display the help files incorrectly after the installation. * If multiple CD/DVD drives are connected with your computer, the contents of the setup disc may not be displayed depending on the drive. * Software Operation Panel is automatically installed together with the scanner driver. When uninstalling, however, you need to select Software Operation Panel separately. * An installation may fail if the operating system is being updated with Windows Update or if it is not restarted after the update with Windows Update. Install software after Windows Update is complete. * An installation may not be performed properly if an anti-virus program is running. In this case, exit the anti-virus program, and then install software. * The installation folder for the following software can be changed. Some software, however, cannot be selected for installation. - PaperStream Capture - Scanner Central Admin Agent - PaperStream ClickScan * A newer version of PaperStream Capture cannot be installed if PaperStream Capture 1.0 is already installed and Suspended or Exception batches remain. An error will occur if you try to do so. Complete batch processing or delete any batches that remain in the current PaperStream Capture before performing the installation. * Check the following before installing PaperStream IP (ISIS): - When Captiva Cloud Capture Toolkit is used, install Microsoft® .NET Framework first before installing PaperStream IP (ISIS). - PaperStream IP (ISIS) installation may fail if the computer is connected to a network. Check if Microsoft® .NET Framework 4 is installed. In the case that PaperStream IP (ISIS) installation fails even though Microsoft® .NET Framework is installed, install PaperStream IP (ISIS) after disconnecting the computer from the network. * Allow active content if an allow active content message appears when you open the manual displayed in a html format. * Perform the following before installing PaperStream IP (TWAIN)/(TWAIN x64)/(ISIS): - Note that PaperStream IP installation may fail if Windows 10 Universal C Runtime is not installed on your operating system since PaperStream IP uses Windows 10 Universal C Runtime. When Windows Updates are not applied to the following operating systems below, download the "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019" package from the Microsoft website and install the package.
