AOL Mail Reader 2.5 For use with America Online version 2.0 and above ** Questions about this stack should be addressed to me,** ** at my e-mail address below and not to America Online.** This stack reads e-mail downloaded as text from America Online (AOL). If you are going to use this stack, check your AOL preferences to make sure that you have your mail option set up so that flashmail is saved as text, not in the AOL mail format. Now can be used to reply to mail as well! Works with HyperCard 2.0 and above! Anybody who subscribes to internet mailing lists or who receive a large volume of mail that they want to sift through quickly will find this stack useful. What This Stack Does: Imports Messages * Imports all e-mail downloaded as text in a 'flashsession,' with one menu command. * Imports most AOL message archives, as long as the archives are saved in a text file. Each message of the archive is given a separate card; messages can be sorted, searched etc. * Imports individual messages saved while browsing an AOL message board. Organizes Messages * All messages, whether from archives, AOL message boards, AOL mail, or the internet, can be sorted together by date or by sender. * Enables you to back up all the messages in the stack into your own message archive file, which can also be imported back into the stack. Enables You to Reply to Messages Offline * Click on the reply button, and the stack opens AOL, if it's not already open, creates a new mail message, pastes the original message writer's name into the 'To' line, and fills in the subject line with 'Re:' plus the subject line of the original message.
